Tours throughout Freeport, West End and East End with destinations throughout local settlements and remote areas of Grand Bahama. This includes biking, hiking, snorkeling, birding, kayaking, and diving such as cavern dives at Owl's Hole and Ben's Cave at Lucayan National Park, which I am one of four allowed to take people diving in this amazing system. « less

Looking for a small-group tour that combined island history with some physical activity and an opportunity to get “up close and personal” with island communities, we booked the Bike/Snorkel tour online with Shamie in advance of our trip to Grand Bahama. His response was rapid and accommodating – a marked difference from other Grand Bahama companies that I attempted to... More

The only thing I can say is -FANTASTIC!!!!!! We pulled into port and every other tour involving water was cancelled due to wind, but Shami came through for us and we had the time of our lives. He is so easy going and knowledgeable. I can't wait to go back and let him certify us for scuba. Thank you so... More

Just got back from an extended weekend on Grand Bahama. Original intent was an ocean blue hole. Weather was so windy the cruise ship didn't even come in so we were starting to get bummed out. Shamie with Calabash suggested an alternative plan to dive Ben's Cavern and also fit in a nature hike to Gold Rock beach. Had a... More

I feel there was more emphasis put on taking pictures of the people taking the tour than on actually looking and hearing about the nature attributes and problems. Shami would also be rude if you asked him a question that he felt he had already addressed or answered earlier (even though it was difficult at times to hear things he... More

I did the Peterson Cay Kayak/Snorkel adventure and am very pleased with the offer and how my money was spent. My guide, Jay Browne, was a very friendly Bahamian, why lots of good history about the places we drove by as we headed out to the beach destination. This Cay (kay or key depending on who you talk to and... More

My family (includuing two teenagers) and I did the bike and snorkeling tour this week with Shamie and we ALL had a great time. I would suggest anyone (who is fairly active) do one of the Calabash Tours if ever in Freeport. Shamie is incredibly polite, full of information about the area and it's history, is very flexible, and.....he takes... More

We went on a birding trip with Shamie Rollie and Jay Browne on 3/18/12. Shamie knows all the island birding hotspots and we saw 71 species including 9 life birds. He birds by ear and put us on many local specialties and endemics. I highly recommend this tour to any birder visiting Freeport. I can't wait to do it again. More

Shamie was a perfect guide for our combined natural park and cajak/mangrove eco tour. - well fitted to actual Freeport tide and our own time-schedule - well organized (even prepared for small rain showers), - cajak tour: stable boats, excellent explantation during tour - dinner in a local restaurant was a very tasty experience => his tour was much more... We took the 'Kayak Eco Adventure' tour and it was one of the best experiences for us! It was rather intimate as they took only the 2 of us, Jay was really helpful and informative. After the kayak tour he dropped us at Banana Bay where we also had our lunch and the beach is just beautiful!!! Jay gave very... More

The reason I would pick these tours over any of the other tours is how accommodating Shamie is. For one, most tours have a minimum. Shamie took just me and my boyfriend on the tour even though his minimum is 4 people. He is just a nice guy. Also when the other Snorkel and Kayak Tour we booked through Grand... More
