I didn't realise all this history was on my doorstep. Whilst it is a tad expensive at 4.80 it was tolerable for a one-off visit. Lots of information, displays, scenery and a waterwheel which generates electricity for the site. Interesting visit for locals and for those from afar.

The waterfall is a great sight in a otherwise a well restored tin plate works. Would say worth a visit if you're nearby but not great value for money.

Amazing place to visit. It is owned by the National Trust and is the site of an old tin works. Excellent for children as there is a quiz to complete and a small prize at the end. The falls themselves are spectacular but it is best to visit when it has been raining as they then become breathtaking. Very good... More

A day trip to Wales brought us to Aberdulais. I'd probably expected something bigger, but what was lacking in size was compensated by interest and we had a good 3 hours, dressing up, learning about tin plate, exploring the sites, watching the waterfall, and having tea and cake. Staff were remarkably friendly and eager to share knowledge. My daughter, 8... More

Very enjoyable couple of hours on this compact site. Museum and film probably best visited at the start, then well surfaced paths around the site, amazing amount of water when we were there after a week or so of heavy rain and the waterwheel. Nice tea shop. Also outside, cross the road and short walk under the bridge you can... More

We visited with friends on Sunday the 14th of April. We expected to go and see some waterfalls but instead arrived at a nation trust shop who had the cheek to charge £4.80 each to see a few boring and half thought out exhibits and the waterfall. We couldn't believe that this at best 2 hour attraction was so expensive.... More

Had a lovely day out visiting the Aberdulais Tin Works and Waterfalls. Very good film explaining the history and the site had plenty of plans and explanations. On site was a pleasant tea room serving light meals and snacks. All the staff were very helpful. Well worth a visit.

Wow! We were blown away by the work, care and attention the NT have lavished on this site, which houses both the famous waterfall and a fascinating industrial site with tin workers' exhibition Set in a steep gorge, this place demonstrates the power of water and its impact on industry. We would recommend you to settle down and watch the... More

If you have NT membership and are in the area the tin mine and Aberdulais falls are well worth a visit. It is more of a museusm of the history of the Aberdulais falls and their links with the tin mine rather than a stunning waterfall. We spent a pleasant few hours here enjoying the site and facilities. The information... More

Definitely worth a visit to see and hear the roar of the water as it changes from a flat, slow moving river to a mighty power house. There are exhibits, a film to watch, a lovely gift shop and Tea Room. Although it's not a place to spend a complete morning or afternoon, it is well worth including this site... More
