Brilliant... if having to decide which local castles to visit, this one is definitely worth the number one choice.... so many interesting things to find out about and see

I visited Thirlestane Castle in October of 2007 with my wife and a couple of close friends.
As a Maitland descendant, I was curious about family history and the area where the early Maitlands lived.
