So lovely to find these facilities. The information boards were very good and the building was a tasteful bonus.

Two routes - one circa 5,6km, the other around 10km.
Only problem: at one fork, there were no clear signs of where to go - if you take a map or take a picture of the map at the parking lot, you're save :)
Really recommendable: the brough of dearness - stunning location for a chapel!

We like the quietness of the headland - enjoyed the seals, various gulls, terns and the short earred owls, along with the brown hares.

I could just say WOW but that that wouldn't be much of a review so here goes. To find the Mull Head Nature Reserve head out of Kirkwall on the airport road, go past the airport and then just keep going for several miles to Deerness and then right to the end of the road, where you will find the...
