We booked this trip in hopes of spending a relaxing day at a beach other than our resort. We knew that there would be activities such as snorkeling, sea lions, etc. However, we did not expect that we would be told what times we could do what. This was our major problem with tour. It felt like we were at... more

So the Island was really neat the food was good and the ride out really smooth although I would recommend taking dramine a bunch of people of the trip blew chunks off the boat. We saw a whale on the way out not a humback I actually forgot what it was called. Had a massage for $25 which was wonderful.... more

You board a two-deck boat from the Marina and take about a 1 hour 15 minute coastal cruise to the Las Caletas beach. The coastline and hotels can be viewed from the sea. Free beer and mixed drinks are served. At the beach the boat is tied to a dock for easy exit. The Las Caletas area is right on... more

My mother and I visited Las Caletas in March 2006 as an excursion through our cruise ship. We had the most wonderful time. There was something for everyone. The catamaran trip was fun and the crew was both hospitable and entertaining. We didn't expect the breakfast and open bar on board the boat. We didn't see any sea life except... more

We booked our Las Caletas tour through a Vallarta adventures rep at our hotel. We wanted to go scuba diving and she recommended the area Caletas because it had 50-70ft visibility. The pictures in the brochure looked great and the food, drink, boat ride and diving was all included for $90. We went on April 16th, when we arrived at... more

I was just there last week 4/2/08. I book this trip with the cruise ship even though you can go online and book it directly with Vallarta Vacation. Anyway, I did some research before I went and I thought this would be a lot of fun. It is very nice there but to me not even close to being worth... more

Las Caletas is promoted as a day on a private beach formerly owned by John Huston, director of Night of the Iguana, which was filmed nearby. There are several departures throughout the day. Ours left at 11:30 from the Marina, where you'll predictably find a large flea market with vendors hawking goods to cruise ship passengers. Give yourselves 1/2 hour... more

Las Caletas is a private beach owned by Vallarta Adventures, a tour operator based in PV. This day trip starts with an hour and a half long catamaran tour along the coast south of Puerto Vallarta. Once we arrived at Las Caletas, we were served a wonderful buffet lunch. The setting is gorgeous - the tables are scattered throughout the... more

I visited Las Calentas last week while on vacation in Puerto Neuvo. I enjoyed the ride over on the boat...experiencing wild dolphins, numerous birds and wonderful views back to the Puerto Vallarta shore. While many note in their reviews on Trip Advisor that the "activities" are too structured...one must realize when taking over a group of 80 to 100 people... more

My wife & I just returned from nine days in PV and were a bit hesitant about committing to two tours in the same place (Las Caletas & Rhythms of the Night) given some of the reviews so we decided to book Las Caletas online and if it went well, we would book Rhythms while in PV for our last... more
