Actually the previous postere is wrong on one aspect. Only One Café (La Perla) charges for beach lounges & umbrellas/palapas. All others are no charge. Playa La Ropa is near Zihuatanejo. You can walk there, however it is quite a hike. There is bus service and taxi service from Zihuatanejo. The beach is sandy and clean. The water is protected and there aren't any strong undertows or currents to endanger swimmers. It is a great, safe place to bring children to play in the water.... more
