An eminently skippable site especially if you don't have much time to waste. The gardens themselves were nothing special: typical local plants laid out in a grid of raised concrete beds, and the "lake" was a small scummy green pond. The place screamed for more maintenance. I visited the Borda Gardens in October 2001 - it was a very quiet spot after walking in and around Cuernavaca. Our group enjoyed the serenity of the gardens and wandered throuhgout & relaxed for about an hour.
