The same show in the United States, for the quality and seats, would have cost 90-150 US Dollars. It cost 13 US dollars for 2 hours of the best entertainment I've had in a long time! More

You've gotta love an opera house in which mariachi bands play with the symphony at the annual Charro Days festival! This is a beautiful building - recently restored - that you'll appreciate whether or not you're an opera buff. When walking around the historical district, you will definitely come across the Theater Degollado. Unfortunately, the interior was closed when we were there, and no shows were going on, so we did not get a chance to go inside. But the exterior is very beautiful and worth the time to walk around it, and examne the facade, a mixture of... More

We attended a wonderful concert by the Jalisco Orchestra in Teatro Degollado. They were great musicians and I enjoyed the concert very much. Ticket prices are so affordable compared to Canada. The theatre is lovely. But be aware when purchasing tickets, that if you are not on the main floor level, there are many seats with partially obstructed views. There... More

If you have the opportunity, go to Teatro Degollado. It is one of the most beautiful theatres on the planet. Try going Sunday morning when the ballet folklorico is on if you are unable to attend the philharmonic concerts here. More

The cafe is located on the steps of the Greek revival Opera house. It serves and assortment of coffees, smoothies, and alcoholic drinks with side dishes. It is a place to relax after a busy day of sightseeing the historic center of the city. Before you is the city's zocalo or grand plaza and a wonderful place to see the... More
