These ruins are very interesting because they were found by accident. The Museum is not very big and has a nice flow. It has a pretty big collection of artifacts found on the site. To be able to see the ruins of a great empire before your eyes and to visit the museum is nothing short of an eye opener. Bear in mind the whole temple was destroyed by Cortes, but the remaining archeological ruins are more than impressive enough. More

For a glimpse of what an Aztec temple was like, it is a very convenient visit right in the center of the city. Adjacent to it is a well-appointed museum. I would recommend an audio guide to get a better understanding of the temple and the culture. More
