...and worth bringing along a friend to read the exhibit labels in Spanish, if need be. I try to visit this gem of a museum every time I'm in Mexico City, as it's easy to get to via the Metro (Anaya stop), and its serene setting (ironic counterpoint to some of the gruesome historic events brought alive here) always provides...

This museum is actually three attractions in one - it's a beautiful ancient monastery, a fascinating museum and the site of the Battle of Churubusco.
