I saw it 39 years ago, and it has not deteriorated, the site is beautiful, and the palace shows the skill of the ancient builders, the little market nearby is good to buy souvenirs too.

We travelled to Mitla with Juan Montes-Lara, an excellent guide in Oaxaca. He is the most knowledgeable and interesting guide, so we went with him to Tule and Mitla one day and to Monte Alban. We learned so much with him as a guide. Highly recommend this site and also this amazing guide.

Well worth seeing once , small and interesting for the style, not a place to go back to like Monte Alban .

Mitla is absolutely amazing. It's very small but the ruins are incredibly well preserved-- the carvings are very well kept and there are 2 tombs you can enter. This is definitely a must see. Also, visit Mitla before going to Teotitlan del Valle, where you can see rugs that are designed after the carvings at Mitla. Awesome! Entrance to the...

Mitla is very nice and small which is nice not a lot o walking here. Very close to Oaxaca City! The main buildings are easy to photograph since the steps of the ruins are not tiny.
