We have cruised to Cozumel many times and Palancar Beach is my all time favorite place to visit. Not only is the beach free of charge but there is everything to do without all the crowds. I dove the Palancar Reef last week with Migual for my first scuba dive and it was beautiful. We swam with sea turtles! Palancar... more

I've dove Cozumel several times and always use the same DiveMaaster. Cozumelsports(--). Eduardo makes sure that your dive is safe and tries to make it a learning experience. Last week we dove Palancar. Average depth was 50' and vis was around 80'. Lots of wildlife. Big 'cudas, lobster, and all kinds of fish. Current wasn't too bad, but present as... more

I can't say enough about this most beautiful underwater paradise. I do not dive, I snorkel, and I had no idea that snorkelers could view this much beauty. I thought that it was only reserved for divers, but not true. I do now want to learn to scuba, because of the beauty. My friend and I went out on the... more

We took two Snuba/Snorkel trips with Mayan Paradise Tours. One word - Awesome! Both trips were fun but my favorite was the one that hits the Palancar and Columbia reefs. I did Snuba at both and thought it was incredible. The Palancar reef was my favorite, it is just so large. We came to an edge that goes very deep... more

I arrived just in time for the last snorkeling trip of the day at Palancar beach: 25 USD for about one hour snorkeling along the reef. Saw beautiful schools of tunas, a porcupinefish, stunning canyons and coral cliffs, lots of angelfish, sea cucumbers.... All this within 20ft deep. An other day I went to Punta Sur ecological reserve at the... more

We went on a SNUBA tour with Mayan Paradise Tours and it was so incredible, we went back for a second trip in our 5-day stay. My husband and I both love snorkeling, and decided to try SNUBA so we could get a "diving" experience without being certified divers. It was great!! You really get a completely different feel for... more

On April 20th, 2004 I took my family to Cozumel. We took the ferry from playa del carmen, then rented a VW choptop and headed south along the west side of the island. small beach clubs dot the hwy with various activities, Playa San Francisco had the most to offer, but beware of the restaurant scam of not presenting your... more
