Punta Sur Ecological Park down on the Southern tip of the Island was great. Well worth the 10$ entrance fee. Fantastic beach, wildlife, crocs, flamingo’s. Could have stayed there all day. I spent and afternoon snorkling off Punta Sur from the beach February 2008..... The current was strong and the coral was not that great. It looked the similar to the Grand Caymen snorkle I did a couple years ago.....the coral had a lot of sand over it ......more then the caymen....maybe Wilma after effects? my wife and i rented scooters and rode from san miguel down to punta sur. what an amazing ride. while i would not reccomend this to anyone who does not own a scooter/ride frequently, despite all the comments on here we had zero problems riding here. punta sur was very scenic, the lagoon cruise was a waste of time since... more

Our day at Punta Sur was a highlight of our trip to Cozumel. We took a taxi from town and arrived early at Punta. Much nicer than being on a tour with a large group of people...and 1/2 the price of taking a tour...Taxi RT was $52...admission $10 per person.
