We skipped the $50-60 pp cruise excursion prices and took the cab. The cab was $22 each way for my family of six. The young kids had a great time swimming. the food and services was fantastic and inexpensive. more

We visited Chankanaab October 26, 2009. After paying the admission, we were asked if we wanted to have a guided tour. There is no extra charge for this so don't miss this. Our guide, Manuel, spoke to us for about an hour, telling us about the history and culture of Mexico. Then we went snorkeling. Fortunately, we had our own... more

Carnival had a shore excursion to Chankanaab Park, but it was $50 per person and took you on a tourist ride first. We took our own taxi ($15 for the 5 of us) and went straight to Chankanaab. It was about $12 each to enter the park. Since we were there before the tour, we had the whole place to... more

My husband, 3 year old, and I visit this park on a stop during our Royal Caribbean cruise. Based on others suggestions, we just walked right off the pier, grabbed a taxi, and in arrived in less than 10 minutes. The taxi cost $10. Super easy! We only did the beach and snorkeling since we had a little one and... more

We had a great time here. The park is gorgeous. The one not great thing about it were the bathrooms near the beach. They were clean, but dark & in need of painting & new hardware. We walked the park & went snorkeling. We were able to rent a good size locker for $3 us. It held a large beach... more

The snorkeling alone is worth the price of admission at Chankanaab. This a beautiful beach with a botanical garden, restaurants and shops. At first we had to keep my kid away from the “Dolphin Adventure” advertising and were afraid that eventually we would need to give in to the her request. However, she was so happy with the snorkeling and... more

My fiance and I visited Chankanaab National Park while on our Carnivial Liberty cruise in April, 2009. After walking about the town of Cozumel a bit and eating lunch there, we took a taxi ride to the park. It was a short, cheap ride and we were happy to find that the park took our Visa card for paying admission.... more

Although I found mixed reviews of Chankanaab National Park on various sites, on the high recommendation of my wife who has been there before, our family decided to spend the entire day at the park and we were definitely not disappointed that we did. Upon our cruise ship arriving in port, we disembarked and took a 10 minute max taxi... more

We would say that the park is worth the price of admission. The reef is beautiful and easy to get to from shore. The replicas are interesting, and gardens are nicely manicured. [--] more
