In Jan. 2009,took the local ferry from Cancun to Isla Mujeres for an afternoon of sightseeing and a little shopping. Started off badly as we ate lunch at an outdoor restaurant located by the dock. My husband got his meal (which was different from mine) and I said,"Gee, that looks a little iffy." To which he replied,Oh....I'm sure it'll be... more

I was a little nervous when we went to El Centro the evening we arrived on the island, but the next day we got up early and walked back to explore, and it is a very safe place. The locals were up early heading to work, ferry boats were bringing lots of people to El Centro for work and tourism...... more

After the Dolphin Discovery we jumped in a taxi and headed down town for some shopping. Its different in there. I gave the taxi guy a five dollar bill and asked him to come back in three hours and pick us up right where he dropped us off at. I was a culture shock for me. I didnt know what... more
