There are several thousand North Americans who now live in Merida for at least part of the year. They have established their own English library called MELL (Merida English Language Library) and we visited it during a recent trip to Merida. The Library is only 5 mins walk from the Zocalo (main square). It is on Calle 53 between 66 & 68. It's run by volunteers within the English speaking community & has over 14,000 items, including books of all types, DVDs, etc. If you are staying for a short time, you may want to look at their second hand books... more
