Once in a lifetime experience,you have to see it to believe it.Would highly recommend you go see one of these caves in the area,This one I would not recommend if you have health issues,can be physically demanding,The minus ,we booked through Air transit and it was expensive and the pictures they take are expensive to buy.

Walk down into a hole in the earth that has trees jutting out at odd angles, vines covering every inch of forest floor, light slowly disappearing as as the tour descended into the heart of Mexico. An awe inspiring site, stalactites looming down as the tour continues ever deeper eventually sliding into the clear water that flows through the maze. After an indeterminate amount of time, emerge at another point in the forest. Walk, swim, and float through a remarkable series of sights all small talk had all but petered out, replaced by a silence in the awe of the raw power of nature.

After reading the negative comments, I wondered if we were on the same tour! Our trip was very organized (we went with a group from our cruise ship), the food was delicious, the scenery was esquisite and our tour guide was wonderful. I give this 5 stars plus! I do have to agree, tho, that the price of the photos...

This was our best excursion . Talk about being a part of the water & land. The underground is spectacular. Linda; our guide, made this trip one that we will never forget. We will remember this as the "BOTTLE" experience. Gracias! Rob & Sharon. Asta La Vista.

First of all, what everyone is saying about the 15 minute ride to the caves is absolutely right-- the worst van ride ever! But besides that, I thought everything was very good. Our guide Corinne (spelling) had a very thick French accent but I managed to understand most of what she said. I was concerned about my claustrophobia and another...

my husband and i went on this tour. paid $99 per person. they provide transportation, drop you off at a waiting area until there are enough people to go on the tour. we sat there for probably 45 minutes. the 15 minute ride to the actual rio secreto tour was incredibly rough and i was sitting in the back of...

Rio Secreto is an underground river in the jungle near Playa del Carmen, Mexico.

amazing, once you finally get there. The trip from the highway to the actual place is a royal pain. Very bad road. It takes at least 15 minutes to get there from the highway. If you have any mobility issues, don't do this tour! It's not for folks who have any issues with getting around at all!
