In Xcaret you will see a little Mexico. You can see animals like seaturtles, jaguars, bats in the batcave, flamingo's and parrots. It's also a kind of museum, where you can see things from Mexican life and history, like a Mexican graveyard, old Mexican villages and schools, mini maya temples. You can also join activities, like snorkeling, swimming with dolfins... more

We visited Cancun for a family vacation and chose to see Xcaret. My children a boy 10, and a girl 8 loved it ! We did and saw almost everything in the park. It was a long day but my children said the day made it one of the best vacations ever, The underground cave snorkeling was a great experience... more

If your hotel in Mexico doesn't have a beach and you want to sit and enjoy sun, sand and water, this could be an excellent place to do it. But beware of the $140.00 "all inclusive" deal. After shelling out $560.00 for our family of four, we quickly learned that what it gets you is a swim in some caves... more

I had huge expectations upon arrival because so many people said "Oh my God you HAVE to go there", etc., etc. So after spending about $250 dollars to get in, we walked around and were not impressed! Everything there I have seen before! If you have been to a zoo or Sea World, you have been to Xcaret. All it... more

My fiancee surprised me when she told me she wanted to go to this Eco-Park. She usually is up for anything and usually when she says she wants to do something, it is something that she thinks she will really enjoy. We were on a cruise with Carnival and one of our stops was in Cozumel. First, I will say... more

I absolutely loved this place! It's a bit pricey, but if you keep and open mind and remember that the aim of this place is to be one with nature, you'll have a good time. If you want to swim with the dolphins, book this online in advance, it sells out quickly. It costs extra, but it's worth it in... more

Because we stayed at the hotel next door we were given a free entrance to the park. We had read to go early so we went around 9am and it was DEAD. No-one around and we felt a bit stupid stripping down to our swim gear and walking around! after a while though we got into to the snorkelling through... more

I went to Xel-Ha and then to XCaret and I'd say XCaret is not worth it. I would only recommend it if you have small (5- y.o) kids. It is like Mayan Disney Land and offers surroghate experiences of what other places can offers for real. If you out of time, or don't mind man made "natural" attractions, then go... more

I asked my 5-year old what was his favorite activity in our whole vacation in Mexico. He basically gave me two answers: "the cave swimming" and the "show with fights." He was referring to the underground river float and the night show, both in Xcaret. Although my wife and I would not point these as the absolute best experience of... more

First time to visit XCaret. It was a long bus trip, but not too bad. We did the Plus Package, which I wouldn't recommend. You leave at 9:30 but don't arrive until around 11:30-Noon. Don't float the river... I repeat... don't float the river. You won't see anything except lots of other people floating through a cave. Take your snorkel... more
