Unfortunately this Cenote wasn't clear and clean at all. Something must have happened that it was so full of algae and it seemed to be out of balance. I hope it will become a crystal cenote again! More

We went to Escondido, a centoe on the other side of the hiway. Beautiful! A must. Crystal had algae growth and we opted not to put our bodies in THAT water. Sorry More

The day we visited, Crystal had quite a lot of pond scum (not sure what best to call it?) floating on the surface, which made it a bit unpleasant for snorkelling. We wandered across the road to Cenote Escondida (included... More

This is the place if you want peace and quiet and want to get away from it all, to a magical place of water and reflection. It's a wonderful way to introduce yourself to cenotes and it gets cared for by lovely and friendly local people. For 50 pesos you get permit for Cenote Cristal and the one across the... More

Surrounded by vegetation with the sun streaming through it was a serene peaceful place. Dragon flies fluttered all around us. The water was clear and just the right temperature, my skin felt like silk when I got out. A must experience--a cenote. More

an easy bike ride from Tulum you can visit the crystal cenote and the hidden cenote (escondido) for the one entrance fee (50 pesos). there was literally no one else there, which made this a very tranquil experience. saw some turtles at crystal and fish, only fish at escondido (but it´s larger and clearer water) More
