Tulum ruins make for a great 1/2 day trip (or whole day, it's on your own terms!) from Playa del Carmen on the cheap. Skip the tours and do it on your own. It costed me 40 pesos each way via Colectivo from PDC and 57 pesos entrance fee for a total of 137 pesos or about $10.50! Since I... More

Tulum along with Isla Mujeres were the most stunning sites of our whole trip. Tulum is breathtaking it is definitely worth going to, the site is not large and can be very hot so best to take a hat for cover. My husband and I took the Ado bus from Cancun bus station in the downtown, it cost us $98... More

We booked this as a day trip along with an excursion to Xel-Ha. We went to Tulum in the morning as recommended, because it is a bit cooler but still hot. We had water and a tour guide. It's nice to have the tour guide because you gain munch more from the place an learn about Mayan history while taking... More

just a joke...the tour was great. But honestly, the tour was great. But between the heat and the walking, I nicknamed it the Mayan Torture Tour.! :) More

This place was amazing. We took the collectivo from the hotel and visited the ruins on our own which was great since you can set your own pace and are not rushed to leave the beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches I've ever seen. The ruins are not huge, but give you a great taste of mayan... More

Tulum ruins are a must-visit site, if in the area. Although the ruins have restricted access, the site is pretty interesting. The beach just below the 'Castillo' is a hidden gem, and you gotta see that, as well. It does get hot, so bring a water bottle. More

Went here last year as a spur of the moment when we had nothing to do at our resort. I didnt know what to expect as I'm not into history or anything like that. We hired a taxi from Bahia Prinicipe Tulum, and he waited the entire time for us. That costing us approx 40USD including tip. We walked the... More

The guide stayed wit hus for half the tour, expaining about the ruins and their history, he was well informed, courteous and pleasant. It si very hot, so take an umbrella and water, and bathrooms are outside of the... More

I read up on reviews for the day tour to Mayan Ruins of Tulum and overwhelming saw great reviews for a tour guide by the name of Angel. Well my families prayers were answered and we actually got Angel as a guide. He is very passionate about his country, culture and history. He was extremely informative and is one the... More
