It was a fun, educational tour covering a lot of the Mayan culture. Our tour guide was very considerate of several slow walkers, yet was still able to cover all the main topics and show us all there was to see. It was extremely intersting and the weather was warm yet breezy. Our quide was careful to make sure that... More

My husband and I visited Tulum with a group and a native tour guide who was of Mayan descent. It was sunny, but the breeze was blowing because it is right on the ocean. The stories of why the ruins were built the way they were and how the Mayans came up with our modern day calendar was fascinating. Only... More

Although not as dramatic as Chitchen Itzen or Coba, in my opinion, the Mayan ruins at Tulum capture the feel of what once was a great trading center. For many ruins, you simply drive up or walk up to the ruins from a distance. Here, you kind of "sneak" in from the top and then have an awesome vista of... More

Nice to see, but you are not allowed to get onto to any of the structures like you are in some other countries, but still interesting to see. More

This was a must see when you are in Mexico. The history of the world is always amazing to me and my family. So, to be part of it and actually stand there and see history and a beautiful ocean view is simply wonderful!! As, I say............ Great Eye Candy!! More

I went to Tulum in early March with a friend who has a 3 year old. The ruins were beautiful! We took a regular bus from Playa del Carmen to Tulum and it was a short walk to the entrance. Once in, we wandered about, admiring the beautiful ruins. If we were interested, we could always linger by an English-speaking... More

If you want to catch some of the history of Mexico but dont have the time for Chichen Itza, Tulum is highly recommended. Well kept ruins - and the best kept secret is the beach - apparently amongst the top 10 beaches in the world. More

It can get EXTREMELY costly to exchange your money for pesos here, but I would suggest doing it. The prices are higher if you are paying in dollars in the Bazaar and downtown marketplace. Also stop and eat some local cuisine at one of the many little restaurants in town. More
