If you are staying at Tulum or environs... a trip (by hired bicycle is best) to this site is well worth the effort..... a couple of hours..... is all you need..and a swim at the beautiful beach during.... There are buses to transport,, but walking is no big deal unless you have difficulties.. More

If you want to catch some of the history of Mexico but dont have the time for Chichen Itza, Tulum is highly recommended. Well kept ruins - and the best kept secret is the beach - apparently amongst the top 10 beaches in the world. More

It can get EXTREMELY costly to exchange your money for pesos here, but I would suggest doing it. The prices are higher if you are paying in dollars in the Bazaar and downtown marketplace. Also stop and eat some local cuisine at one of the many little restaurants in town. More
