This is by far the best trail ride I have ever been on. The staff from start to finish did evrything they could to help you have a great experience. My wife and I both felt that the horses were confident with good minds and character, very sure footed as we ran them at least 7 times, (always at our... More

We booked the pyramid tour with Coyote to visit the pyramid about a half hour outside of San Miguel de Allende. We were picked up in the main square, the only Canadians with about a dozen Americans. Our guide and driver was American archeologist Albert Coffee, extremely affable and knowledgeable. We had a fascinating drive out into the desert and... More

We range from ages 4 to 65. Several had never ridden a horse before. I was thinking "around the corral". Instead, after clear instruction, we mounted up - and to my amazement our horses were wonderful and we had good assistance and attention from a NUMBER(!) of Mexican cowboys working for Coyote Canyon. The cowboys who trained these horses and the... Rodrigo was our guide, and organized a fantastic horseback ride for our four children, aged 5-8, and ourselves (we were two families). He does a bit of helpful instruction on how to ride at the outset, and then ride itself - about 2.5 hours total, with a break of about 30 minutes - was glorious. The kids utterly enjoyed it,... More

Outstanding selection of things to do in and around SMA. The ultralite flights over SMA are a great way to see the town, and Albert Coffey's guided tour of the Pyramid of the Virgin is as good as it gets--as a trained anthropologist who worked on the excavation, he knows the site intimately, and unless your Spanish is superb, the... This company offers inexpensive memorable activities that you cannot afford to miss. I highly recommend the half-day horse ride down the canyon to anybody. My 68 year mother managed no problems and my girlfriend who has never ridden a horse. More

We were picked up in the center of town by Rodrigo and driven out to the ranch, probably a 45 minute trip. Once there, we bought cowboy hats (as advised, they did make the pictures better) and we set up with horses. The Mustang-Quarter Horses were a little small for my liking at only about 13 hands, but they were... More

Albert Coffee is the perfect guide to an incredible place. He participated in the initial excavation with the archeologist assigned to canada de la virgin pyramids. Coyote Canyon Adventures will pick you up in town, take you to the sight with informal conversation along the way and proceed to immerse you in the mesoamerican culture. Albert is personable, very knowledgable,... More
