Sitting in El Jardin, watching the costumed players sing and play amongst the crowd of Mexicans on a Saturday night feels a bit like going back in time. The Church of San Miguel Arcangel is the Centerpiece of San Miguel de Allende. Located in El Jardin, it could pass for a cathedral, but is simply a parish church (parroquia as it is referred to by the locals). It is by no means a simple church. We caught the free light show that apparently occurs on weekend evenings after sundown. One of the light projectors was a little shaky, which caused the projected images to shift about a foot on the surface of the church, but overall it was very interesting, in part because it gave the impression that the structure of the church itself was...

You will never get tired of sitting in the Jardin and spending hours just admiring the Parroquia and surrounding garden/buildings, not to mention the people, noise and festivities and even on occasion, the quiet..

Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Jarin and the picturesque views of the Parroquia from the square and/or Luna restaurant at the Rosewood Hotel. Wow.
