We started from Rethymno and arived after 3 hours. The beach was still unspoilt, without bed and umbrellas. I recommend the place, but make sure you leave early, since it's a long route. Better is to make it a part of the round trip. Nireides and Glykeria offer nice rooms More

WE always walk (hike) to the island as far down as we can. The further you go the fewer (clothed) people you will see. Rare to find peace and quiet like this in S.W. Crete these days.
