We attended a matinee in April. As usual, the experience was top notch. The food was incredible and the production was excellent. The little town is beautiful so you can easily wander around for a couple of hours and shop, and see the museum. Can hardly wait to see Anne of Green Gables, which opens in May, 2012. Best to... We went to the Rosebud as part of a romantic weekend in Drumheller and region, and this theatre definitely delivered. We saw Queen Milli of Galt - I had never heard of the play but enjoyed it a lot. The stage was pretty bare (no elaborate sets) but the cast didn't need anything around them to help us really feel... More

We started attending plays in Rosebud a few years ago and were surprised by the quality of the perfomances. We've been going regularly since our discovery and have rarely been disappointed. We usually take our children (ages 4-11), who add catchy songs and lines to their own repertoires, though not all shows are suited for young audiences. (If you ask... More

We visited the theatre in October, 2011. We took in both the dinner and theatre so this review covers both. The dinner was hosted in a separate building, with buffet style service, great service and nice, rustic ambiance. We were serenaded by a trio of bluegrass/folk musicians who went from one section to another, singing music in keeping with the... More

A tiny hamlet in rural Alberta, this theatre is as professional as any in Calgary or Edmonton. The actors waited and served around our tables. We then went across the street to the Opera House, where the actors put on musical version of THE GIFTS OF THE MAGI. It was a short story for a reason, so the 2 hour... More

My wife and I recently attended a performance of Queen Milli at the Rosebud Theatre. We very much enjoyed the production. Cast and story were both great. It is a small theatre so there is not a bad seat in the house. My wife and I had been saying for years that we should come see a produciton here -... More

This dinner theatre combines first class acting, is heart-warming with lots of laughs, even a few sad moments, and an excellent buffet. Great job! We went to the Wednesday Matinee which was a full house with 200 guests. Make sure to get there early as it is first come first seated. The buffet was delicious, plentiful and had alot of... More

We went to see the play "Jake and the Kid, Prairie Seasons" by W.O. Mitchell. It was a fantastic play and we had a wonderful buffet dinner which was included with the price of the play. There are a few quaint shops in the hamlet of Rosebud to explore plus a great museum. There is an Acting School in Rosebud... More

Good food (high end buffet), good entertainment. We aware that there really isn't anything for small children to eat (fries, chicken strips, pizza, simple dressings, no ketchup). More
