I went to Sulphur Mountain Gondola on 14 June 2005, 4pm+ in the afternoon. I took the bus service number 3 from Banff Ave. It is very convenient. The gondola is very safe and comfortable. I had the whole glassed enclosed cabin to myself. The view to the summit at 2255m is really magnificient. You get a helicopter view of... more

My husband hiked up the mountain, but I took the gondola (too tired from the previous day's hike up to the inkpots at Johnson Canyon!). The ride up was a little unsettling to do by myself, but at the top it was beautiful. We brought a picnic lunch and sat at one of the picnic tables on the observation deck... more

You cannot leave Banff without going here. It is truely a once in a lifetime view. Words will not explain how you will feel...just do it. more
