I have been going to the Pump and Tap for 20 yrs now and it's cool as it is the only place in town that has not really changed in 20 yrs, except for new football banners and beverage choices. Agree pretty much with the previous reviewer, the Pump & Tap is a nice little place and ideal for a few beers. Having spent a Sunday there watching back-to-back Premiership football matches, I got to meet locals and ex-pats who frequent the place and everyone was friendly and talkative. Fantastic bar, a real local feel with many locals using it as their "local" must mean it is good. Plenty of activities to do, always have English football on their screens when games have been played, friendly welcoming and not a rip off bar unlike many in Banff.
