A very large and first rate attraction of its kind. Lots of original buildings and some replicas plus a museum of transportation plus a steam railway chugging around. While certainly a "family" attraction it is also well worth the attention of a serious history buff or even a professional. Somewhat similar to the Fort Edmonton site and to Upper Canada... more

Visited during a very warm July day in 2009. The Park has many interesting features - the paddleboat, the train and the numerous period buildings. The staff are dressed in period costumes and the man who took us on the horse and cart ride was particulalry entertaining. The staff overall were very friendly and welcoming. And, the ice cream was... more

My boyfriend and I just spent the day at Heritage Park. \We had a great day! Weather was awesome and the sites were great! We really enjoyed the boat ride--not wildly exciting but it is nice to be on the water. The train ride was fun, too--a short ride, but fun! The park has recently been refurbished and it looks... more

We decided to attend Heritage park yesterday. In short I was very impressed. Their employees are dressed in period clothing and each have a character, pertinent to the surroundings. Employees perform many 'traditional' tasks which you can watch and perhaps attempt yourselves. An excellent venue for all. more

Heritage Park is a rather expensive attraction, but if you have coupons can be worth it. For adults, it is always interesting to tour through the homes and structures and try to put yourself in the "what-would-it-have-been-like" mindset; kids enjoy the candy shop, train, gift store, wagon rides and the old-fashioned type of rides/games. Note that if you want to... more

We went to Heritage Park in the winter during the Christmas weekends that they have. We picked up a brochure from the tourist information in town to get in for half price on an already considerably reduced price so it was very cheap. The rides and train were closed, but there was Santa Claus and a Christmas market to make... more

Nice place to visit with the kids and for seniors. But just a word of caution have noticed this year the operations of the facility have suffered. Expect buildings and rides to be closed due to staff shortages. My advice is to call ahead to ensure you get the most for your money and don't end up disappointed. Also ensure... more

Visited the Heritage Park on Sunday, May 20, 2007. Believe admission was around $13. Need at least 3 hrs to completely visit the whole place. Very kids friendly, lots of walking mainly in unpaved roads so please wear walking shoes. When we went, it was raining so it could get muddy at times but that didn't damage the fun at... more

Heritage Park Calgary was a pretty fun day. Admission is $13 per adult or $22 if you want to go on the rides. It is neat to see all the old style buildings and see the old artifacts they have there. It is quite open and the grounds are done up very well. We didn't spend the whole day there... more
