A must see if you come to Edmonton. You can ride a train, street car, visit lots of old buildings with dressed up volunteers to answer you questions about the past. Lots of activities for all ages. I would re command bringing your own food and drink as it is a bit on the pricey side. More

went on a field trip - the advisors that work with the school trips are very knowledgable - not sure if you would get the same experience just "going" there. a fun step back in time More

We booked this park for a convention so they opened early for us. I felt like a kid again. Tons of games, a couple of rides, and endless things to do. Great for families. If you have time, I highly reccomemend staying at the hotel and spending a few days there. you will not be bored, there's so much to... More

Very interesting sites! Stopped for a drink @ the bar, the beautiful wood work and plaster on the ceiling were amazing! The bartender was very friendly and I think her name was Michi! More

This site had something for my 11 and 13 year old children and myself. I enjoyed the very knowledgable docents who enthusiastically shared their knowledge. The children enjoyed the seeing the sites, touching the displays (i.e., furs, cooking tools, etc.), and riding the train and stagecoach. We are here for a few weeks and have saved a few bucks by... Ride a coal-fired steam train that has no coal. The fort was once across the river. The LEgislature lives there now, but the new fort, fence, barns, loghouses, and hotel are accurate reconstructions. Be prepared for skeeters and snow in season, and for lots of walking. Weddings. School kids by the zillions. Lecturers on animals, furs, and traders. And, if... More

This place is a great way to spend the day in but lacks any real meal facilities. If you have younger kids that aren't used to the long walks then brace yourself lol. The train is always a blast to ride. Very economical for larger families if your on a budget. Bring lot's of water, snacks, sunscreen and sunglasses as... More
