We drove around Medicine Lake as far as we could several times looking for wildlife. We were rewarded by sightings of black bear, elk and several pica. Although there are several hikes in the area you can enjoy much of the scenery from your car.

We were staying in Jasper & went for an evening drive, the lake when the sun is setting was absolutely beautiful, it was so peaceful. We were out for around 3 hours & only saw 2 other cars.
It is well worth the drive out there, with the added benefit of seeing / hearing lots of wildlife.
