We took the raft ride down the Athabasca River. I would not recommend it for October. Our raft handler was wonderful, but we were frozen. Our tour guide met us at the other side with warm towels, but they didn't stay warm long. Scenery was nice, rapids were strong enough for a thrill and a splash. More

wonderful place that surprises you each time. Impressive river for walking, picnicking, fishing, meet people, relax and be surprised every time. Impressive falls, beaches, curves, sometimes wide and sometimes narrow, deep or shallow, and creates impressive narrow canyons. More

We loved rafting the Athabasca River, very friendly and competent guides, even the trip there in the old school bus was a treat. Excellent experience however I suggest you choose the more expensive of the 2 rides (The Canyon) as you get a lot more value and experience. A must do in Jasper. More

The campground was updated with a bathhouse and electric hookups so now costs $32 per night, but the trail along the river is down an embankment close by so you can easily hike the trail till your heart's content. It was raging so not the kind of river access for swimming or even wading here. More

We had a wonderful time rafting on this River! We were guided and didn't do anything but sit there and get wet occasionally! The water is freezing - so if you don't want to get wet - take a poncho when it's offered. I wanted to get wet and it felt great when I did. There are so many great... More
