They advertise these places to be open but they don't both maintaining the roads so they just close them. Even though you still pay the park pass.

Sunwapta Falls is located about half an hour south of Jasper on the Icefields Parkway. It includes an old resort, but the biggest attraction is its location on the Sunwapta River.

Sunwapta Falls was not very spectacular, and I think it should be avoided. It wasn't worthwhile stopping. It is a smaller fall, with lots of powerful water, but only a short drop. Maybe my opinion is affected because I've ssen so many spectacular waterfalls, but Sunwapta is nothing special. If you need a place to stretch your legs, I'd recommend...
