I think out of all the tramways/gondola rides in the Canadian Rockies, this is the most spectacular. Once you get to the top, the panorama is well worth the slightly pricey ticket. If this isn’t enough, those who are physically fit should take the trek to the top of the mountain once you exit the tram. Don’t underestimate the effort... more

Bring a bottle of water, and a little snack, as you'll want to take a little rest when you climb to the top. It can be a bit windy up there, wear something appropriate (not short shorts and flip-flops! which we saw several girls struggling with! haha) People with young kids, they might have a heard time with the altitude... more

We rode the Jasper Tramway in June, 2009. Although the ride up is not nearly as comfortable as the Banff Gondola, the view from the top was amazing. The view from the top is truly amazing. Well worth the $70 (family of 4). Some advice... the first tramway leaves at 9h30 - be there shortly after 9!
