This was effectively the final stop on my tour up from San Francisco along the west coast of the USA and then across to Vancouver Island. It was well worth the drive across to Tofino and booking some tours with Remote Passages. Despite some poor weather I was looked after exceptionally well and they bent over backwards to ensure that... More

Our first time in Tofino and everyone at Remote Passages made us feel very welcome. We thoroughly enjoyed our three outings: sea-kayaking (for the first time ever), bear and hot spring tours. Each tour far surpassed our expectations. The places we were taken were spectacular and the wildlife amazing! Tyson and Alex were excellent guides and took their time showing... More

Thank you Peter for your assessment of our Hot Springs Explorer tour program. Alex works hard to make sure his crew is safe and comfortable on the water. At the same time he wants everyone to experience as much of what Clayoquot Sound has to offer. It may be a trip into a waterfall or sitting quietly with sea otters... More

We went on a 4 hour kayaking trip from Tofino today with Tyler Cross, our guide for the afternoon. Tyler was exceptional in every way and we felt safe in his hands during what was an excellent experience from start to finish. Tyler was knowledgeable and caring throughout. He is a genuine & honest guy. Anyone who wants to go... More

Thanks for the encouragement Laura. After over 22 years of operation I am thankful that we still have our guests coming back from kayak trips charged with such emotion and having experienced the rainforest and wilderness at our doorstep. Come and visit again as there is lots to see in this corner of the world. All the best. Don Travers... More

We went on the hot springs and whale watching trip, as well as the sea kayaking trip. Our kids are 9, 10 & 12, and loved it. The trip on the zodiac is a blast! We saw lots of whales, sea otters, bald eagles etc. A fantasic experience (not sure about the hot springs though, far too busy - loved... More

We did the zodiac bear watching trip. It was heavenly. Good guide, great thermal suits (though the process of getting everyone clothed was a bit disorganised), warm tea available in the office, the ride on the zodiac was a lot of fun in itself. And most importantly we saw a mother bear and three cubs, and a couple of other... More

Nice and relaxing paddle around the bay and islands! Our kayak guide, Byron, was great in telling us all about the area and wildlife, picking up a crab from the water to show us, and telling us about the cows and chickens on the islands. It was a great time and felt like the staff really made every effort to... More

We went on the zodiac whale watching tour. Had mentioned to the company prior to the trip that I had a bad back. They described the trip and mentioned that it was quite bumpy but of course, despite their warning I just had to do it. :-) The boat captain/guide went out of his way to manage the waves and... More

We had a great time on our whale watching tour, where the guide was knowledgeable and we were able to get close to a sea otter, harbor seals, sea lions, a grey whale, and a bald eagle. We also did a less expensive trip to Mears Island which was a relaxed self guided tour to see a 1600 year old... More

I booked this after the reviews on here and it didn't disappoint, all staff very helpful, great warm protective suits, the guide was good giving info on the surroundings and the bears. We were lucky enough to see a mother and cubs, wolves and two other bears, they get you as close as safe to the bears and to just... More
