My friend and I had to take a cruise ship out of the Vancouver port and decided to fly up a couple days earlier to explore the city and visit some attractions. We had very little time, so we had to pick and choose where we went and what we did. There was a sunset trip up to Grouse Mountain... more

Lets take the Banff gondola as a benchmark. With $30 it is also somewhat pricey but you get an unforgettable 360° panoramic view. Compared to this Grouse Mountain is not worth the money, and maybe even the time. Views over the City are so-so (I enjoyed Vancouver Viewpoint much more), and there are some shows. Beautiful views and short movies telling about Grouse Mountain every half hour. More activities in the day but more adult atmosphere at night. Food available. Lots... more

Grouse Mountain is one of Vancouver's more expensive attractions. The skyride is $35.00 per person, plus you have to pay for parking prior to boarding. If you feel it's worth the money, then make sure you pay for at least four hours (and probably five hours) of parking, if you want to see all of the shows. Up the mountain... more
