Lets take the Banff gondola as a benchmark. With $30 it is also somewhat pricey but you get an unforgettable 360° panoramic view. When 75 people are squashed in beside you then the journey is an expensive waste of time because you can't see a thing. We took a sunset trip up the mountain with the Vancouver Trolley shuttling us to and from our hotel...arranged through the concierge at our hotel, but could get info from the trolley cars themselves. Grouse Mountain is one of Vancouver's more expensive attractions. The skyride is $35.00 per person, plus you have to pay for parking prior to boarding. If you feel it's worth the money, then make sure you pay for at least four hours (and probably five hours) of parking, if you want to see all of the shows. Up the mountain... more
