As others have described the view is underwhelming, especially if you've visited Whistler. The hike will take you a few hours, even if you're 'in shape'. I think, that grouse mountain is not worth the money. You have a very nice view over Vancouver, that is true, but it is not worth the 50 bucks you pay to get on top.
