This theatre is stunning. I remember it from when I was a little girl and they used to show movies there. Now it is used for musical events. The Orpheum theater was very nice, and the acoustics were great - I went to see Opeth, Mastodon and Ghost live (Heritage Hunter Tour 2012), and it was exceptional - good quality concert and I am sure the theater just added to it. More

The Orpheum is a refurbished theatre from the 1920's and a Vancouver landmark. The architecture and structure is well worth seeing, however it is best to go to the theatre and see performances. There are many venues to choose from when you visit the city, from the VSO, to jazz concerts, dance and children's entertainment. The sound is quite good... More

We were excited by the opportunity to hear Jon Washburn and the Vancouver Chamber Choir perform the Bach Motets, but the acoustics in this old darling are so muffled that--despite the dazzling proficiency of the musicians-- the evening was disappointing. More
