Made a happy return visit after more than 10 years. Wonderful location, good choice of beers (some better than others of course).
We had a great view overlooking the harbor but 2 of us ordered halibut and had to send it back for being overcooked. They cooked another meal for us but I had to send it back a second time for being overcooked. They did comp the two meals that we sent back. Maybe they have a new cook.
Spinnaker's has a great location on the west side of Victoria Harbour, with a good view from the back patio. Being a brewpub, it only naturally has a good selection of micro beers, of which we tried a few. it also features a good selection of dishes, including some different and intriguing ones. I enjoyed their take on a 'BLT',... More
We love going to Spinnakers for dinner. My boyfriend absolutely loves the pot pie and I usually ordered my favourite dish the salt spring island shiitake pasta dish. I was craving it one night so we decided to go only to find out that they changed the menu and took all the pasta dishes off the menu. A real let... More
It seems odd that a restaurant in victoria can make a name for itself by featuring local food -- surrounded by an ocean full of fish and excellent farmland. He didn't offer to bring water, make any suggestions regarding beers, didn't volunteer any information. He didn't bring our meals - another server did, and... More
Went to Spinnakers today for some sun and appies on their patio after a nice day of sun and swim. Parking was easy although, there's no signage - which I highly recommend so, the 1st time I went to visit, I completely missed the place. The little kiosk counter upon entering is cute with home made breads, truffles, jams, jellies... More
My husband and I came with my in-laws on a Sunday afternoon and were seated right away. It was quite busy inside but service was fairly good. My in-laws had been here before and liked it. My mother-in-law ordered a salad, while my father-in-law ordered a sandwich. Both of them found that the portion size was ridiculous and nothing tasted... More
We went on a Saturday night, which is understandable that it would be busy. We managed to find a table upstairs on the patio with an incredible view. However, four servers walked by us, and not one of them asked us in the twenty minutes we were there if we would like a menu or anything to drink. It was... More
