I just came back from Whistler on 2/18/09 and its true that it is the biggest and most varied ski area. But, the snow qualitity was horrible, NO POWDER and lots of ICE PATCHES, and the mountain lacks identification/directional signs on the trails! I have snowboarded europe and North America and Whistler is the best holiday experience that I have ever had. It has a special something. The ski conditions on the excellant mountains were not great when I went but this did not effect the overal experience. You get the best of all worlds.
