The Eskimo Museum in Churchill is a small building stuffed full of cultural artifacts and natural history exhibits relating to the Inuit culture. It also has a small gift shop with nice (not too touristy) souvenirs, clothing, postcards, and books. The wildlife exhibits contain both photos (lots of fish photos) and actual stuffed animals, including walrus, wolf, caribou, birds, and... more

We just returned from a week at the Seal River Heritage Lodge where we got in zodiac boats and swam with Beluga whales, saw polar bears from a safe distance out in the wild and then spent our last day in Churchill. Do not miss visiting the Eskimo Museum in Churchill. The town is small and you can easily walk... more

The Eskimo Museum is located on one of the side streets of Churchill. The outside of the building is not impressive. But step in inside and be prepared for a surprise. The history, life and times of the Eskimoes and the Inuit are told through the art work and the tools used by these native people. There are excellent displays... more
