I've gone to a few shows and loved every minute! The dancing is beautiful, the music is fantastic, and you can get some decently priced seats.
I only had one night available in Winnipeg and by good fortune chose what was the first night of RWB production of The Handmaid’s Tale. The production and performance was very good with Amanda Green outstanding. It is the only time I’ve seen this companies work but from this performance I’m confident enough to recommend it to anyone. The performance... More
I have been to the ballet in many great cities, including New York and Los Angeles, and believe me, the Royal Winnipeg Ballet is every bit as wonderful! I have taken my granddaughters to the Nutcracker and my husband to Carmina Burana, and I have enjoyed at least a dozen others in between. Last night my husband and I attended... More
My Friend's son was in the nutcracker three of us girls went to see him. My first visit ... Great experience lovely venue!
We've been season ticket holders and the Nutcracker has been part of our family holiday tradition for 35 years. If you are in town when there is a performance, don't pass up the opportunity. RWB is world class but you don't have to be an aficionado to have a truly wonderful sensory experience.
I went to see the Princess and the Goblin this October and also the Nutcracker and Moulon Rouge. I loved to see the progress of the dancers. I also loved to see ballet in the park in july. The dancing is spectacular and it is a tradition to see the holiday classic every year. It was an amazing production and... More
I had seasons this past year and it was fantastic. I will defintely join again. The ballets were great and not too long..
The RWB is very good. Aside from the symphony, one of my favorite "cultured" events. Difficult to get tickets at times, so plan ahead. In the summer they often perform free shows on the Limric Stage in Assiniboine Park. Plan the perfect day at the park, BBQ and Ballet.
Bravo to the corps and premier danseurs/danseuses for an exceptional performance! Every aspect of the performance was exceptional, and if you missed it there is always next season. This is one of Winnipeg's foremost artistic endeavours and it is world class.
I have been to many performances by the RWB. All of them have been fantastic, with my favorite being Dracula. I am not a ballet expert by any means and simply enjoy the orchestra and the choreography. There is not a bad place to sit. If you have a chance to see an RWB production, you must give it a... More
