This is indeed a very small, unloved lighthouse but the walk on the trail in makes it worth the effort. Both the Lighthouse Trail and the Point of the Head trail begin and end in the same spot. Drive across the causeway to Cow Head Island, turn left and park by the open air theatre.
The community was upgrading the trail at the end of August.
