Best beach in the Highlands National Park. Best cove, with terrific coastal walking trail next door. But Mother Nature plays havoc with the sand, and sometimes there is not a beach to speak of. But when the surf is up, it doesn't get much better than this in Cape Breton. More

Been going a long time - with parents - then with our children and now with our grandson - crystal clear water and see a lot of snorkelers in water around steep bank - our weather has been tough on this beach with storms tossing rocks up on the sand but still a great place to swim - often good... The jack pine stands are wonderful and easy to get to, just a short walk from the parking lot. The lichen and forest are beautiful and peaceful. Great beach to spend the day. Have a BBQ, swim and sun. Body surfing is good at times. This is a safe beach with a small undertow but is unsupervised. Enjoy but be safe More

I have been going to Ingonish for the last 35 years without fail. Black Brook is my favourite Beach anywhere. Its rugged coast is breathtaking. It has great waves, has a waterfall/cliff that kids can climb, has fine white sand, and has my favourite hiking trail (Jack Pine) nearby. There are also washrooms, a playground, and picnic areas.
