This is a great spot to check out - amazing look at the history of Halifax. I suggest going around mid-june or early july. Great places for tons of photos of the harbour. Friendly staff and good prices for admission. I recommend going around noon as they shoot off the cannons. More

Visited the Citadel and was pleasantly suprised. The Site is very well maintained and is still used today. If you are in Halifax, listen out for the noon day gun or yet visit the Citadel to watch it go off. More
