Good place for history lovers. Enjoyed seeing the canons go off. Can be very loud so if young children may be frightened of the loud noise.

It was very nice historic tour to the past. There is guided tour starting every hour on the hour. Go there at noon to see the firing of the noon cannon!
Kind of pricey for a 1 to 2 hour visit

This is a great spot to check out - amazing look at the history of Halifax. I suggest going around mid-june or early july. Great places for tons of photos of the harbour. Friendly staff and good prices for admission. I recommend going around noon as they shoot off the cannons.

Visited the Citadel and was pleasantly suprised. The Site is very well maintained and is still used today. If you are in Halifax, listen out for the noon day gun or yet visit the Citadel to watch it go off.

We had the chance to look at the cramped quarters shared by the soldiers and to try our hands at scrubbing...
