To an American visitor, this site is a bit like Ellis Island. Our volunteer guide Dave was great. The entire place is very well done. In addition, there is a geneology library on site. The staff is terrific. Although free, you may feel like supporting them!

The Pier 21 was converted into a fabulous museum. I know my parents entered Canada through Pier 21 at the end on WW II. Unfortunately when I visited the Research Department was closed and therefore could not access the database.

My gran came thru Pier 21 in 1946 on the Queen Mary with my Dad and 2 young uncles LOTS of pride in your family 2 of 5 boys jointed the Canadain navy to pay back to Canada for helping the Engish fight the war
