I've always felt that ferries are the best way to see any city's waterfront--Vancouver, Quebec City, Halifax--and this one is no exception. Even fun in winter!

You get off this government-operated ferry onto Wolfe Island and you are stepping back in time. Downtown Marysville still keeps its rural charm despite ongoing gentrification from transplanted perennial city dwellers. Look for the general store with the gi-normous ice cream cones at country prices.

20 mins one way, and it is quite efficient to load the car on and off and islander. Would enjoy a great ride on the breezy Lake Ontario.

This is a large car ferry that runs between Kingston and Wolfe Island. The ride takes about 1/2 hour and is free. It is open all year round. There can be long lines on weekends so plan on a bit of a wait to get on, especially coming from Wolfe Island towards Kingston on a Sunday night in the summer....

Best way to see Kingston harbor and surrounding waterfront and best yet is that it is free. Walk on, take a 1/2 hr. ride. Stop and have lunch on the other side and then return...a great way to spend 2 hours.

Makes for a nice car trip in the Summer. Hop about the Wolfe Islander, have a nice drive around the island, seeing rural scenes, then enjoy a nice quiet dineer at the Wolfe Island Hotel

The Wolfe Islander III is the easies ferry to travel on. They get you there fairly quick and with little hassel.

If you want to have a nice tour on Lake Ontario to beautiful Wolfe Island this is a great free thing to do. On the way back you get beautiful views of Confederation Harbor in Kingston.
