There is some history of the harnessing of water power in the area. Small kids (under 10) will probably have no interest. Not really much of a tour but you can ask questions and get answers if you have interest in hydro power.

This is huge dam; they take you down to the bottom of the dam for the tour, which primarily consists of a set of photos with captions/ discussion, and a video. You don't see a real turbine or anything else. The whole thing could be done (for free!) if they moved took out the souvenir/ candy store at the entrance...

Not what we had expected after some of the other power plant tours we have been on over the years. I know 9/11 caused security concerns in the US and most tours there have either been curtailed or significantly shortened. This was a brief tour with little to actually see. At least our guide was informative and could answer some...

Agree with the comments that said we could of actually been anywhere for how little is shown in this tour. My additional comment would be that we were actually offended by how rude our "guide" was to us. Clearly he didn't really know anything about hydro power and he chose to mock our questions instead of answering us. Worst guide...

We really enjoyed the tour of the Sir Adam Beck Power Station. It was interesting to learn about power generation in this area. Very worthwhile tour.

I was actually offended by this tour, in that it should not be a tour at all. It consisted of an elevator ride, some cardboard signs about the site, and a film. There is nothing to see because they don't even attempt to show you anything. You might as well be in Texas reading about and watching film about Adam...

The power plant itself is truly amazing. THe tour however, leaves much to be desired. The term tour should really be used loosely. Basically, you spend about $10 to look at posters on the wall. Our guide said the tour used to be more interactive and take you into some of the plants machinery rooms, but that was no longer...

We didn't find the guided tour of much use. It seemed a waste of money to watch a video and then look at a couple of maps on the wall. I do recommend going to the visitor's center and poking around and taking pictures along the gorge. Very close by is the Floral Clock, which is nice to see as...

This "tour" was awful. In short, you pay approx. $10 per adult, take an elevator down to the bottom. They put you in a room with posters and then read the posters to you. Afterwards, they sit you in a room to watch a video for 15-20 minutes. You spend about a minute or two looking through a small window...

I only paid $4.50 to take this hour-long guided tour of the power plant facility. The guide was exceptionally well-informed, entertaining, and helpful. We watched two fascinating videos and saw the massive generators. While the tour lacked some the the excitement of the Hoover Dam tour we took last year, I still would recommend it given the low cost to...
