We went to Niagara Falls strictly to enjoy the beauty of the Falls, but ended up spending a few hours enjoying some of the quirkier attractions in the area. My husband and 14 year old daughter enjoyed this museum very much. We received 25% off by showing our AAA card, so show it if you have one!

Located in the heart of Niagara Falls on Clifton Hill since 1963, the always growing Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Museum still holds on to the reputation as Niagara’s best museum. Authentic shrunken heads, the world’s rarest egg and two-headed animals are only the beginning here. Housing an impressive collection of the odd, strange and unbelievable from around the world, the museum showcases over 700 mind boggling exhibits, oddities, curiosities and illusions throughout their extraordinarily themed galleries. Several videos and displays allow for an interactive experience leaving you to decide whether you believe it or not!Take a stroll through what is perhaps the most humorous of cemeteries, containing various gravestones engravings that will make you giggle with disbelief. Among the museum’s strange and unbelievable artifacts is the Niagara Theatre. It is the only one of its kind in Niagara Falls! Guests are invited to sit down, relax and get blown away by the museum’s film showcasing those daredevils brave enough to face the wrath of the falling water, and those who accidentally took a trip over the falls. Plenty of photo-ops are also scattered around the museum from an 18th Century Spanish Public Humiliation Stock to the world’s tallest man’s Chippendale Chair. While the whole town looks like an amusement park, not much was appealing to me but thought I could handle this place. It is actually quite fun. Not very intellectual but interesting.

Very fun place to visit. My 11 year old, husband and myself loved it. My 3 year old was bored with it fast...The vortex was awesome...learned some fun facts etc.

There is a very interesting assortment of oddities collected in this place. You have to take the time to read the cards to understand a lot of what you are seeing. creepy but amazingly well put together. very interactive for kids as well as adults. lots to see and do inside! make sure to bring a camera because no one will believe you when you tell them what you saw! make sure to buy the package with skyton wheel!
