First of all, getting here from downtown Toronto is a lot easier than you'd think. Simply jump on the orange subway toward the Finch station. The subway ends at Finch so you cannot miss the stop. Then exit the subway station and you will see a lot of busses and bus stop numbers. You are looking for 60D STEELES WEST.... more

After reading reviews on this place we decided to visit. Used the public buses (number 35) on Jane street which travels between Jane bus/underground station and Black Creek Village, journey time about 50 mins. We should have gone earlier as 4 hrs was not enough time to do it justice. We were so surprised at how much thought had gone... more

The time spent at the village was well appreciated by all members of the family including 10 and 19 year old. The variety of buildings is impressive and the costumed interpretors were informative. Black Creek Village was my daughter's favourite place to go for the past 15 years. Lately it has been a little downsized, the horse and wagon rides have been cancelled and the number of costumed interpreters seems to have decreased. The restaurant staff does not have to dress in period clothes anymore and so the atmosphere has been diluted from... more

Great learning & fun experience for the children. Staff were knowledgeable about the past and had patience and understanding for the childrens questions? Would recommend it and will certainly go back again. more

As members of the Royal Ontario Museum, my family was able to take advantage of a free admission day for Black Creek Pioneer Village.
