We were here Sept 2nd, outside Cavendish. It was a warm day and we enjoyed laying out in the sun on the fine sand beach. The water was only 63 degrees though, so too cold to swim for most people. The only downside to the beach was the wind, which blew the extra fine sand into our faces, so we... more

Visiting the beaches along this park, I was struck by the masses of people and the generic quality of the beaches, aside from the impressive dunes. Exploring the rest of the island, I found many other beaches on the South shore that lived up to my expectations of sparsely populated and the characteristic PEI red sand (which the Park lacks).... more

I really enjoyed Prince Edward Island National Park. There were different sections which gave you a different flavor. I especially liked Orby Head with its red rocks. There were a couple nice walks to take and I especially enjoyed the sunset on the beach. more

Unfortunately, Prince Edward Island National Park, Cavendish is not so nice. We had a unserviced site (no... more

August 2004 Our innkeeper recommended hiking at PEI National Park's Greenwich site. The experience was one the highlights of our trip. We hiked the Pond Trail, which took us through pastures, woods, across a floating boardwalk out to the beach. The weather was perfect and the scenery simply breath taking. Don't pass up visiting this park during your next trip... more
